Come and see Kimiko play and support the tour! As a reward for being a Kickstarter backer, you'll get a copy of the Exclusive "Best of the Tour" Digital Recording.
Want more than one ticket? Just pledge the right multiple and that’s how many tickets you’ll get. For example, if you want to have 4 tickets to the Shalin Liu Performance Center concert, each ticket is $25, so pledge $100 and you’ll have 4 tickets.
Exclusive "Best of the Tour" Digital Recording
All five concerts will be recorded; the best performances will be combined into one exclusive digital download. Only backers of this project will have access!
What’s special about this?
Live performances are the best. There is no better way to experience classical music than to be in the room with the performing artist. Come, be drawn into the world of Bach as performed by Kimiko Ishizaka.
The WTC is an extraordinary piece, and performing the whole first book is a stunning achievement for a pianist. The music is complex, entertaining, diverse, and has a depth and profundity to it that is rarely matched in all of music history.
This tour is part of Kimiko’s effort to craft her new interpretation with the goal of making a full recording of the piece in the same manner as the Open Goldberg Variations. You get to hear the interpretation take life before the official studio recording is made.
Kimiko is a great performer. You’ll be drawn in and captivated from the first note to the last.
Why do we need support?
This is a self-funded tour. If we don’t sell enough tickets we’ll lose a lot of money. Help us make it a positive experience and we’ll be able to do more tours in the future, bringing the piano playing of Kimiko Ishizaka to a wider audience.
Become a sponsor
Do you have a company, sports team, or charitable organization that you’d like to promote? Two tour sponsor spots are open. Your logo, website, and messaging will be featured on handbills, flyers, posters, and programs that we print for the tour. You’ll get a sponsor page with logo and link on the official tour website. You’ll get mentioned in the press release. We’ll broadcast our gratitude to thousands of Twitter followers and Facebook fans.
Schedule a concert in your city
You pick the city, we’ll do a concert there. Invite your friends and family, and meet the artist personally. We’ll work with you to put on a top concert wherever you are. The concert can either be open to the public (where we sell tickets to help cover the costs), or private to you and the people you bring.
